 Work-Study Scholarship Auctions The night before the close of each Penland session, students, instructors, staff, the Penland community, and other visitors celebrate together the learning, creativity, sharing, and fun that mark the class experience with an auction of contributed student and instructor work. These end-of-session auctions benefit Penland’s work-study scholarship program.. Proceeds from these auctions help Penland provide more than 250 work-study scholarships and 135 studio assistantships each year. Share in the students’ experiences and join us to see student work and enjoy the energy of a Penland session.
