The Supply Store Sales Associate is responsible for all sales through our POS system. Customer service and teamwork is a priority for this position. Other duties include recording, pricing and stocking of incoming supplies. Knowledge of art supplies an asset but not mandatory. The position reports to the Supply Store Manager. This is an hourly, part-time seasonal, (25/28 hours) position and included rotating weekend hours. Required start date is May 23rd, 2017.
Maintains good customer relations
Records, prices and stocks incoming supplies
Handles sales to include studio fees, UPS and house accounts
Handles bank card transactions and batching
Assist in accurately managing core fellow accounts and the collection of studio fees
Maintains cleanliness of the store and the reading room
Maintains neatness of the presentation of store inventory
Other duties as assigned
A high school diploma or GED plus at least 1 year retail experience is preferred. Position requires a self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented. Knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, POS, and spreadsheets is preferred as is the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must possess strong communication/customer service skills and ability to multi-task.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and work at a computer. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, controls and to talk fluently and to hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision required by this job includes close vision.
